Year of Establishment : 1959

  1. Brief Introduction of the Department:

The department of Criminology and Forensic Science is the pioneer department in India in the field of Criminology and Forensic Science which was established in 1959. This department offers various programs for the students such as Bachelor in Criminology & Forensic science, Master in Criminology & Forensic Science, Doctorate of philosophy in Criminology & Forensic Science and Post Doc Fellow in Forensic Science. Apart from all, department also offers different types of training courses for police organization and judicial organizations. Here in the department students learn how to apply basic science for the purpose of Law. The professors of this department are one of the experts in Criminology & Forensic Science in India. While the previous pass out students hosting the flag of this department in the different departments of government of India. Department not only train the students in Forensic Science but make them experts in Criminology also.
