  1. Brief Introduction of the Department :

The Sanskrit Department of Dr. H.S. Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar (MP) is well known in the field of Sanskrit in the Country. This Department was established in 1946 with the inception of the University. The department offers a three years degree Course and two years Post Graduate Course. In addition to that, the department offers elective Courses for P.G. level students of other departments. At P.G. level, the Department offers specialization in sahitya including Sanskrit literature, Kavyashastra and Natyashastra.
