The Department since its inception has laid emphasis on placement of students. The students are trained and mentored throughout the B.Lib.I.Sc. and M.Lib.I.Sc. programme. After graduating from the Department the students have obtained placement in libraries of institutes of national repute like IITs, IIMs, IISER, BARC, TIFR, NISCAIR, AIIMS, etc; libraries of Universities and Colleges; Defence libraries; libraries of Supreme Court and High Courts; libraries of KVS and NVS; and others. A large number of students also got appointment as College Librarians in colleges of M.P. after clearing the M.P. PSC examination in 2019.
