Actvities organized / conducted by the Department in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority, Sagar (M.P.)
- Paralegal Volunteers: For providing free legal aid to poor and needy two students from the department Ku. Keerti Chaturvedi and Ku. Hemlata Patel have been appointed as paralegal volunteers by District Legal Services Authority, Sager for the year 2018.
For the year 2019 also District legal services Authority had appointed 58 students for legal Aid and Clinic.
- The Department of Law in collaboration with The District Legal Service Authority (DALSA) celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th of March 2019 and organized a Debate competition, Lecture by resource persons on women issues (where the resourse persons answered querries of students), Essay Competition.
- A Legal Literacy Camp was organised jointly by the Department of Law, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar and The District Legal Service Authority (DALSA) on 07/02/2020 at Gram Jamuniya Tehsil Banda, District Sagar in which the following activites were organised:- Lectures delivered by the resource persons to aware villagers, Survey was conduced by Law students about legal awareness amongst villagers, Play (Nukkad Natak) was presented by the students on violence against women. Actvities organized / conducted by the Department
Training Sessions on west law (Oct, 2018): Training sessions on ‘West Law’ are being conducted by Akansha Malaiya, student of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Campus Ambassador for West Law.
Indian Mediation week (Oct-Nov 2018): The 56 Students of department have participated in Indian mediation week organized by NUJS, Calcutta in collaboration with NITI Aayog, supported by Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. conducting 18 drives locally, sensitizing 1030 people.
Constitution Day Celebration, 2019: Debate competition was organised on the topic “Whether Right to Privacy outweighs Public Interest” to celebrate Constitution Day, presided by Shri Brijbhushan Singh Thakur (Law Officer of University) and Dr. Usha Rana (Assistant Prof. Dept. of Sociology) Student Dharmendra Singh adjusted 1st , Gauhar Alam 2nd and Jayati Shrivastava adjudged 3rd Position.
Essay Competition, 2019 – On occasion of birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the great freedom fighter, eminent education an essay, competition was organized on the topic “ Importance of Education and Nation’s Commitment to all aspects of education.
Moot Court Competition, 2020 – Online Intra moot court competition was organized on June 03 and 04, 2020. The most problem was based on pandemic.
Students Muskan Soni and Kuldeep Mishra of LL.B were adjudged winners which Shivanshi Gautam and Shivani Jain were adjudged runner-up in the competition.
International webinar – The Department of Law and Department Economics organized an international webinar on the topic “Impact of covid-19 on the Intellectual Property Rights: Behavioural Economics and Legal Aspects” on 27th June, 2020.
Poster Competition Organized on the Occasion of National Education Day on 10 November 2020.
International Human Rights Day was celebrated on 10/12/2020 by Department of Law. On this occasion a Lecture, Quiz Competition, Essay Competition and “Manthan ekParicharcha” was organized.
Poster competition 2021 – On the occasion of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav a poster competition activity has been organized for the month of 2021 on the topic “Legal Developments since Independence” The poster submitted by Ku. Ankita Patel of LL.B. IInd Sem. has been adjudged the best poster.
