Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar is one of the oldest institutions in the field of pharmacy education in India. The Department holds a glorious history. It has contributed to pharmaceutical education by organizing seminar conferences and workshops from time to time and also organized webinars in the time of pandemics to promote unhindered learning. During the last five years department has organized the following events for promoting research, teaching and leadership.

One day National Seminar on “Emerging frontiers and nanotechnologies & drug design” was organized by the Department. The seminar focused on the recent trends in the field of pharmacy and different eminent speakers discussed the ongoing challenges in the profession. |

The Department organized International conference on “Academia- industry interaction: global pharma prospects”. Alumni across the world participated in the conference. Discussed the various issues for fruitful and strong synergy between academia and industry. |

Swachchatapakhawada was celebrated by organizing following activities in the Department : Ø Cleanliness Campaign Ø Essay writing competition on Innovative ways for spreading the message of hygiene Ø Promoted “Green Campus” theme by planting trees in campus Ø Elocution contest on “Health and Hygiene in real health”

Poster making competition to create awareness among students. “Swachhata hi sewa campaign– 2019” to promote hygienic living. 2. Celebrated Swachchatapakhwadaby initiating cleanliness drive under the name “SafaiAbhiyaan- 2019”. 3. Discussion Session on “Character and Competence” was organized to promote moral values. |

Celebrated World pharmacist day, followed by open discussion and views sharing towards professional progress and sustainable developmental goals. Also, students participated by delivering speeches on the topic-Role of pharmacist for community and Future as a pharmacist. |
