Thrust Areas
The thrust areas in this department are Sahityashastra, Natyashastra, Modern Sanskrit Literature, Veda, Vyakaran and Philosophy. 150 scholars have awarded Ph.D. in this department and 6 for D.Lit. At present Five researchers are registered for Ph.D.. New areas of specialisation being developed under this Department are Manuscriptology and Modern writings in Sanskrit.
