The department has produced a number of eminent scholars, academicians, and administrators. The department has six of its alumni who had occupied the position of Vice-chancellors viz. Prof. I.S. Chauhan, former Vice-chancellor of Bhopal University, Bhopal, Prof. Gargi Saxena, former Vice-chancellor, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. Many of the alumni attained the position of professors, executives, politicians, and top-class scientists viz. Prof. R.K. Mutatkar, University of Pune, Prof. C.S. Singrol, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Prof. V. Rammi Reddy, S.V. University, Tirupati, Prof. Jayram panda, Jammu University, Prof. Golla Reddy, Andhra University, Waltair, Dr. Virendra Kumar, Minister of State, Ministry of Women & Child Development and Minority Affair, GoI, M.P., Prof. Jagdish Narayan Gautam, former Rector, Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Mr. Pankaj Dwivedi, IAS. Dr. Yogesh Atal was appointed as High Commissioner in Fiji. Achievements of the department’s alumni are innumerable in serving society.
